Ms. Blume is experienced in pre-trial motion practice in state court and has tried many commercial cases to judgment.
Prior to joining BV&M, Ms. Blume worked in the public sector as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the City of New Haven. The majority of her work involved the representation of the tax collector and tax assessor and the defense of municipal tax appeals.

Description of Assessment Appeal Practice
Ms. Blume provides legal services to residential property owners, commercial property owners and tenants, as well as real estate developers, investors, banks and other financial institutions, by assisting in the evaluation of a current or proposed real or personal property assessment, negotiating with revaluation companies and municipal assessors, representing clients at Board of Assessment Appeal hearings, and litigating assessments before the Connecticut Superior Court throughout the State of Connecticut.
